Ahsan Sabir

Ahsan Sabir founded Empower Forward in November 2023 with a vision to strengthen the operational and strategic capacities of NGOs and development organizations in Bangladesh. He brings over 35 years of leadership experience in financial management, procurement, administration, grants and contracts, and government relations— spanning both national and international development contexts.

Throughout his distinguished career, Sabir has held senior leadership roles in globally recognized organizations, including Save the Children Bangladesh, CARE Bangladesh, CARE Sudan, DAI, Winrock International, ACDI/VOCA, WaterAid Bangladesh, Plan International Bangladesh, and Marie Stopes Clinic Society. His work has consistently focused on building systems that ensure accountability, compliance, and sustainability.

Sabir is also a trusted mentor, having served as a coach for the Finance Director of Save the Children Afghanistan, providing guidance on financial leadership in complex humanitarian and development settings.

Today, through Empower Forward, Sabir continues to support international NGOs and local partners in Bangladesh by offering strategic consultancy services across setup support, policy and compliance, audit preparedness, capacity building, financial systems, and more.
